Sentenced at first instance to six months suspended prison sentence, 6,000 euros fine and two years of ineligibility for fraud, Yazid Ichemrahen, 2014 world champion in frozen desserts, has given up his appeal.


Yazid Ichemrahen, 33, is definitively convicted of having simulated his burglary. Against all expectations, he did not appeal. “I appealed because my image and my honor were tarnished, especially in relation to my uncle and my aunt who raised me,” he pleads. It would cost me a lot of money again in lawyer fees, to relive two years of ordeal in the procedure…”. Thus, the world champion of frozen desserts (2014) is definitively found guilty of fraud. He was sentenced, on September 20, 2024, to six months in prison, a fine of 6,000 euros and two years of ineligibility for having organized a false burglary at his home, in order to recover several tens of thousands of euros from insurance.
