Yahya D., from reality TV to prison

Yahya D., 28, was arrested last Thursday as the alleged perpetrator of the two shots fired at drug dealer Ali T., alias ‘Ali Rus’, in the Gevaertlaan in Boom, in the Antwerp region. The suspect denies the facts.

Yahya D. was arrested in Wilrijk by the Antwerp police while driving a van that was identified by witnesses during the shooting in Gevaertlaan. The defendant was brought before the investigating judge on Friday and then remanded in custody for attempted murder. He will appear before the council chamber on Wednesday.
