Witchcraft, threats, blackmail: the ordeal of beaten men in Morocco
Violence against men by women in couples is a growing phenomenon in Morocco, a recent study reveals.
This violence against men takes various forms such as “witchcraft and magic, blackmail or beatings, insults and abuse, public humiliation, confiscation of salary or income, prohibition from visiting family, and turning children against him”, details the study carried out by a student at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez as part of his master’s thesis in private law.
