When a Moroccan woman, married to a Frenchman, becomes a “dirty fool”

This Monday, October 30, the Bordeaux criminal court sentenced a 44-year-old man to one year in prison for domestic violence. Freddy Alves Martins, a former carpenter from Ambarès-et-Lagrave, saw his life turned upside down after losing his job almost a year ago. Since then, he violently attacked his Moroccan wife, insulting and harassing her daily.

“Dirty race”, “bledarde”, “oh, AIDS, you come down dirty bastard…”: racist insults and degrading messages rained down on the victim, aged 30 and mother of their three children. The man, “shaved head, all muscles”, even sent videos to his wife’s family in Morocco to smear her and make her look like a “slut”, reports Sud-Ouest.
