Wheat: Morocco shops in Russia
Morocco has resumed imports of soft wheat from Russia, suspended two years ago due to the war in Ukraine. This resumption comes in a context marked by a fall in prices on the international market and a decline in the local harvest.
Soft wheat imports from Russia represented between 25 and 30% of Morocco’s total wheat purchases, recalled Moulay Abdelkader Alaoui, president of the mill bosses in Morocco, specifying that the kingdom also obtains supplies from countries such as France, Romania, Poland, Germany, Bulgaria and Turkey.
