Wedding canceled in Montpellier after an urban rodeo

The mayor of Montpellier canceled the celebration of a wedding on Saturday due to multiple violations of the Highway Code on the A709 motorway as well as at the Zénith roundabout.

A “part of the procession committed multiple violations of the Highway Code with quads and motorcycles, deliberately and endangering the safety of others,” explains on X Michaël Delafosse, mayor of Montpellier, adding that complaints will be filed. “I support the decision of the mayor of Montpellier who canceled this wedding following the disturbances to public order. I asked for the assistance of the national police,” wrote the prefect of Hérault on the same social network. For him, “these behaviors which harm others are unacceptable”.
