Weather alert: cold snap and snow in Morocco

Morocco is preparing to face an intense cold spell, accompanied by snowfall and thunderstorms. The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an “orange” alert bulletin for several Moroccan regions.

Snowfall of between 15 and 35 cm is expected this Monday in the provinces of Azilal, Tinghir, Al Haouz and Ouarzazate. The provinces of Midelt, Taroudant, Beni Mellal and Ifrane will also be affected by this phenomenon, with less significant snow accumulations (5 to 10 cm).
