Wave of promotion within the Moroccan police

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) revealed the number of police officers promoted for the 2024 financial year. No less than 10,393 police officers, including 466 women, have climbed the ranks of the hierarchy.

This wave of promotions, which concerns 7,005 agents in uniform and 3,388 in civilian clothes, represents 68% of the total candidates, a record figure compared to previous years. The DGSN placed particular emphasis on lower and intermediate grades. For example, 3,564 police sergeants, 1,269 chief sergeants and 1,716 senior inspectors benefited from advancement.
