Water cuts in Casablanca?

Water shortages are becoming increasingly acute in Casablanca. The president of the urban commune, Nabila Rmili, sounded the alarm during a recent extraordinary session of the prefectural council. The Al Massira dam, which supplies the southern districts of the city in particular, is in a critical situation due to the water deficit.

Municipalities such as Ouled Azzouz and Dar Bouazza could thus face shortages of drinking water in the coming days. “The situation is not very bright,” said Nabila Rmili, calling on the various stakeholders to intensify their efforts to complete the pipeline work between the north and the south of the metropolis.
