Water cuts already in Casablanca

Following the water flow reduction measures, many Casablanca residents are now facing planned water cuts.

In Casablanca, the population is facing a serious water crisis. While they are already suffering from the water flow reduction measures, the residents of the municipalities of Deroua and Oulad Abbou were surprised by a notification from the Autonomous Agency for Water and Electricity Distribution, responsible for the management of water and liquid sanitation in Sidi Rahal Chataï and Had Soualem as well, informing them of the daily cutoff of the water flow from midnight to six in the morning. The residents of the province of Berrechid and the municipalities supplied with water are not spared. The water sector within the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water informed them of the cutoff of the water supply from Thursday, August 15, from 9 p.m. until noon this Friday. This measure is part of the fight against the problem of water stress and the completion of the connection works between the Jorf Lasfar seawater desalination plant and the treatment plant of the dam, the main supplier of drinking water in the province, where the supplier urged residents to take the necessary precautions until the gradual resumption of supply.
