Walid Regragui faces a luxury “dilemma”

Walid Regragui does not hide his satisfaction at having two world-class right-backs at his disposal: Achraf Hakimi and Noussair Mazraoui. During a press conference held on Thursday, on the eve of the match against Gabon for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the Morocco coach spoke of the luck of being able to count on two players of such caliber.

“It’s wonderful to have two top players at right-back,” Regragui said, recalling the impressive careers of both players at the biggest clubs in Europe. While having two such exceptional talents in the same position might seem problematic, the Moroccan coach assures that this is not the case, as long as both players are happy with their roles within the national team.
