Walid Regragui discusses the “fallout” between Hakim Ziyech and Brahim Diaz

Morocco team coach Walid Regragui expressed his satisfaction with the Atlas Lions’ convincing victory over Gabon (4-1) on the first day of the CAN 2025 qualifiers. However, the coach stressed the need to refine certain aspects of his team’s game, while returning to the alleged disagreement between Hakim Ziyech and Brahim Diaz.

“The main thing was to take the three points,” recalled Regragui, while acknowledging the quality of the game produced and the beautiful goals scored. The coach, however, pointed out the lack of offensive realism of his team, which wasted many opportunities to increase the score. “This is an aspect on which we must work,” he insisted.
