Visa for Moroccans: the absurdity of the Algerian decision

Algeria has reintroduced the visa for “all foreigners holding a Moroccan passport” on the grounds that Morocco deploys “Zionist intelligence agents (…) to freely access the national territory” and carry out “various actions detrimental to stability of Algeria and its national security. Justifications deemed absurd by an expert in international relations.

The justifications put forward by the Algerian authorities concerning the imposition of a visa for Moroccans are absurd and fall within the realm of the imagination, comments Khalid Chiat, professor of international relations at the Mohammed I University in Oujda to the site Al3omkaffirming that Morocco will not respond to Algeria with a futile measure.
