U20 Women’s World Cup: Three matches, three defeats, Morocco eliminated
The Moroccan women’s national under-20 team saw its world dream extinguished. Beaten by Spain (0-2) on Saturday, the Lioncelles were unable to secure their qualification for the round of 16 of the World Cup currently taking place in Colombia.
This third and final match of the group stage, played in Cali, was marked by Spanish domination. The Iberians, more experienced and efficient, opened the scoring in the 5th minute thanks to Nahia Aparicio Jaular before sealing the fate of the match at the very end of the match through Lucía Moral Ruiz.
