Traffic jams spoil MREs’ holidays

Monster traffic jam this Sunday on the Tetouan-Tangier national road. Endless queues of vehicles were recorded on this section which is particularly congested during the summer due to the travel of families to spend their holidays in one or the other city.

Traffic from Tetouan to Tangier was blocked this Sunday, particularly at the entrances to rural communities along the road and at the checkpoints of the Royal Gendarmerie and National Security. During the summer, this road, as well as those leading to M’diq, Martil, Fnideq and their surroundings, experience almost daily traffic jams due to the influx of tourists and Moroccans living abroad (MRE) to these cities to spend their holidays there.
