Torrential rains in Morocco: bridges collapse and residents evacuated

Residents of Tata province faced a difficult night due to torrential rains that causedmajor floodsThe General Directorate of Meteorology had previously issued a red alert, warning of thunderstorms accompanied by hail and strong gusts of wind.

These exceptional rainfalls caused the Tata River to overflow, taking with it a coach and causing the collapse of several bridges, including the Annahda Bridge. Local authorities quickly set up rescue operations to evacuate the affected populations and provide assistance to those in difficulty.
