Tiznit: the wave of food poisoning strikes again

Just a few days after the judgment handed down by the Tiznit court against the owner of a snack bar responsible for the poisoning of 38 people, sentencing him to one year in prison and a fine of 20,000 dirhams, as well as compensation of 5,000 dirhams for the civil party, another establishment operating in the same city is the subject of a judicial investigation.

Cases of food poisoning are increasing in Morocco. Following a complaint filed by a citizen against a restaurant in Tzinit, the police, on the instructions of the public prosecutor, opened an investigation. In this complaint, he reported poisoning and medical symptoms that appeared immediately after consuming a snack in the establishment. A month ago, a joint commission had ordered its closure for two weeks, after the discovery of a quantity of spoiled food inside.
