This “halal” butcher’s shop in Bobigny sold wild boar

Closed “until further notice” by a prefectural decree, the 100% halal butchery of the Seine-Saint-Denis prefecture, located avenue Jean-Jaurès, in Bobigny, sold wild boar.

It all started with a health check carried out on December 31, 2024, after a report received by the departmental directorate for population protection (DDPP). The health check revealed thirteen infractions, including the potential interruption of the cold chain, “lack of manual hygiene,” “proliferation of pests,” and “very insufficient” cleaning. Other offenses are surprising: these are the “detention, handling, cutting and offering for sale of wild boar without any veterinary stamp certifying the healthiness of the meat” in this “100% halal” butchery.
