The mystery of Anouar’s murder in Tangier: justice that is slow to act

The mother of Anouar, the 20-year-old student, found dead in his apartment in the Mesnana district, continues to demand justice for her son. A new hearing should open in the criminal chamber of first instance of the Court of Appeal of Tangier in a few days.

On Tuesday, the criminal chamber of first instance of the Court of Appeal of Tangier, for the twenty-eighth time, postponed the examination of the murder case of the student Anouar. The next hearing is set for October 15, 2024. According to the victim’s mother, the public prosecutor judged that the case was ready for pleadings. Also, he ordered to bring all the witnesses present at the hearing, with the exception of the accused’s brother and uncle, who were absent. They are still wanted by the police. The victim’s mother only wants one thing: to see these successive postponements lead to a fair verdict which will ease her pain for the loss of her son Anouar.
