The Moroccan government accused of inflating tourism figures

Opposition deputies instructed the government on Monday in the Parliament on Monday, criticizing it in particular for having taken into account 50 % of Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) in the 17.4 million tourists who arrived in the Kingdom in 2024.

“You announce a record of 17.4 million tourists, while 50 % of them are MREs who visit their families two to three times,” said opposition deputies (MP, USFP, PPS, PJD).
