The indecent route of MREs to repatriate their deceased
The repatriation of the remains of Moroccans living abroad (MRE) to Morocco is an obstacle course. A member of parliament from the Justice and Development Party (PJD) is questioning the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohammed Abdeljalil, on the issue.
In a written question addressed to the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohammed Abdeljalil, Hind Bennani Rtel, MP for the Justice and Development Party (PJD), said that Moroccans living abroad (MRE) constantly suffer from the conditions and modalities of transporting the bodies of their deceased from Moroccan airports. According to her, their concern to repatriate the bodies of their deceased to Morocco to bury them in cemeteries located in the place of birth of the deceased is hampered by tedious and exhausting procedures and steps, particularly when receiving the body at Mohammed V International Airport.
