Morocco has applied to host the Formula 1 Grand Prix. If its bid is successful, the race will take place in Tangier.

After organizing a “Formula 1” race in 1958, on the Aïn Diab seaside circuit in Casablanca, will Morocco host the Formula 1 Grand Prix? Tangier “is expected to host a circuit of international standards specifically designed for Formula 1, a project currently under study and which is just waiting for approval,” we learned. If Morocco’s candidacy is validated, this project will mark an important step in car racing in Morocco and Africa, in particular thanks to the strategic location of the city of Tangier.
