The cry of alarm from families for Moroccan women detained in Syria
The executive office of the National Coordination of Families of People Stranded in Syria and Iraq strongly condemned the inhuman and degrading treatment suffered by Moroccan women detained in the Al-Hol camp, northeast of Syria, urging Moroccan authorities to work for their repatriation to Morocco as soon as possible.
The Moroccan women detained for almost seven years in this Syrian camp lack the minimum to live with dignity. Even water is sold to them, denounces an anonymous coordination source, adding that “medicines are not available in the camp, which exposes its occupants to permanent danger, not to mention the impossibility of obtaining a medical consultation”. And to wonder: What was done with the remains of those who died from Covid-19 or tuberculosis?
