The continental highway Rabat-Casablanca canceled?

The National Society of Motorways of Morocco (ADM) made a surprising decision that can impact the construction project for the continental Rabat Casablanca motorway.

A Suprise Decision. The National Society of Motorways of Morocco (ADM) has suspended the current consultations for the selection of construction companies responsible for carrying out the continental motorway to connect Rabat to Casablanca, taking short the Chinese, Spanish, Turkish and Moroccan companies who “clashed to win the contracts,” reports Al Akhbar. According to the Arabic -speaking daily newspaper, the new management of ADM would put the project on the back of the night light and would consider alternative options, in particular the expansion of certain sections of the current highway between Rabat and Casablanca, by the addition of additional tracks, as well as the ‘Improvement of intersections and works of art, to reduce traffic jams, in particular “in blackheads such as the intersections of Sidi Maarouf and Ain Harrouda”.
