Tetouan: security deployment for the arrival of King Mohammed VI

King Mohammed VI is expected to return to his residence near the city of M’diq. He was forced to cut short his vacation after the death of his mother, Princess Lalla Latifa, on June 29.

A massive deployment of elements of the Royal Gendarmerie, Auxiliary Forces and National Security has been set up along the national road number 2 linking Tangier and Tetouan, as well as inside the latter and along the highway linking Tetouan to Fnideq for the arrival of King Mohammed VI. The sovereign’s procession is expected to arrive this weekend at Sania R’mel airport in Tetouan, reports Rue20. He will then head to the city of M’diq before going to the royal residence near the beach of Oued Smir. The receptions that the Moroccan sovereign grants during the Throne Festival will be maintained, as will the allegiance ceremony, the same source believes.
