Tetouan: restaurants sanctioned in the face of the influx of tourists and MRE

The joint commission of the province of Tetouan, responsible for monitoring hygiene and health safety conditions, carried out inspection visits to more than 350 restaurants between June 1 and September 30. In total, 1,470 kilos of spoiled food were seized and destroyed.

According to data from the economic section of the prefecture of the province of Tetouan, the commission carried out during the period 61 inspection visits to 347 collective catering establishments, including 12 classified tourist establishments and a camping center. At the end of these visits, four establishments were closed and 59 received warnings. Samples (43) of food products offered for sale were also taken for analysis.
