Taxis in Morocco: the end of chaos?

The Moroccan Interior Ministry recently sent a circular to the country’s walis and governors to bring order to the taxi sector. This initiative follows numerous dysfunctions observed, which tarnish the image of the sector and encourage citizens to turn to alternative solutions, sometimes illegal.

Abdelouafi LaftitMinister of the Interior, wishes to improve the quality of services offered to users and guarantee the stability of professionals in the sector. The aim is to restore the image of taxis and prepare them for future challenges, in particular the major international events that Morocco is preparing to host.
