Tax fraud in Morocco: lawyers and tracked doctors

Suspecting cases of fraud, tax controllers scrutinize the tax declarations of certain people exercising a liberal profession.

Inspectors of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) noted significant differences between the declared income and the real standard of living of certain people exercising a liberal profession, in particular doctors, engineering firms and lawyers. In their investigations, tax controllers found that those concerned have recorded movable and immovable property on their behalf and others on behalf of their relatives or children, reports Assabah.
