Tax amnesty in Morocco: an unexpected success for undeclared assets

L’tax amnesty on undeclared assets for the year 2024 in Morocco exceeded all expectations. The Minister responsible for Relations with Parliament, Mustapha Baitas, announced an amount collected of 127 billion dirhams, shattering initial forecasts.

This financial windfall should generate nearly 6 billion dirhams in direct revenue for the State thanks to the 5% final contribution on these sums. These funds will be injected into the 2025 general budget.
