Tarifa-Tangier: Balearia and FRS Iberia fight each other

DFDS-FRS Iberia, holder of the Tarifa-Tangier city line since 2023, denounced the behavior of Balearia which recently announced that it had won the contract to supply two electric ferries to ensure this maritime connection.

In a press release published on November 18, Balearia, while recognizing that the port authority of the Bay of Algeciras had not yet designated the winner of this contract, announced that it had won this contract worth 135 million euros for the supply of two electric ferries with a capacity of 800 passengers and construction of two charging stations in Tarifa and Tangier city.
