Tangier: the tourists’ ordeal

In Morocco, difficulties are piling up for foreign and Moroccan tourists. In addition to the soaring prices of services in restaurants, cafes and shops, many tourists are experiencing enormous difficulties in getting around Tangier.

Many tourists are forced to wait for long hours every day under the scorching sun at the departure point near the port of Tangier city before boarding a bus. However, the waiting area lacks the most basic means of comfort and protection against the weather conditions. There are no shelters to protect oneself from the heat of the sun, nor seats to ease the wait. Corollary: the wait becomes tiring and unpleasant for many.
