Tangier: soaring parking prices exasperate motorists

The price of parking at the Somagec Parking company car park, located in the administrative district of the city of Tangier, has doubled, to the great displeasure of motorists. Exasperated, they are calling on the city’s mayor, Monir El Limouri, to take action.

Parking is not immune to inflation. In Tangier, the price of parking has increased from 3 dirhams to 6 dirhams for the period from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but the old rate (3 dirhams) is maintained for the period from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., reports Al3omk. This new pricing has caused a reaction. Many customers of the car park denounce a flagrant violation of the specifications which oblige the company Somagec to apply a fixed rate. They call on the company to respect the original rate (3 dirhams) throughout the day.
