Tangier: Fifa puts pressure on, stadium work accelerates

The Tangier Stadium, candidate for hosting matches of the 2025 Africa Cup and the 2030 World Cup, is transforming at high speed. Significant work was launched to meet the requirements of FIFA, which insisted on the importance of an outdoor environment suitable for such sporting events.

The international body noted in particular the lack of space around the stadium, an essential criterion for the organization of international competitions. “Activities linked to an event like the World Cup are not limited only to the pitch, but also encompass the surroundings of the stadium,” the FIFA report said.
