The family of Hamza BaghdadiA 25-year-old man shot dead last week in the Dutch village of Stampersgat, in the municipality of Halderberge, in the province of North Brabant, is calling for an investigation to be opened to shed light on what she considers to be a racist murder.
Hamza was shot dead in the night from Wednesday to Thursday last week in front of his home on Markiezaat Street. His neighbour, Gerben Van V., aged 55, was arrested as the main suspect in the murder. He is accused of involuntary manslaughter and has been remanded in custody. Residents of the neighbourhood told the press that the neighbour and the victim regularly fought over the same parking space for their vehicles. A constant conflict that eventually escalated.
