Spain teams up Morocco
Spain has decided to provide Morocco with additional resources in order to strengthen its capacities in terms of border surveillance and the fight against illegal immigration.
The government of Pedro Sánchez approved an envelope of 2.5 million euros intended for the acquisition of vehicles and equipment: 183 motorcycles with a total value of 660,000 euros, intended for patrol operations in difficult areas access and 33 buggies, for an amount of 1.9 million euros, for enhanced mobility in desert and rugged environments, report Spanish media. Delivery is expected within a maximum period of nine months. Once delivered, the vehicles will be transported to the port of Tanger Med. In addition, specialized technical training will be given on vehicle maintenance in order to guarantee the maintenance and operational durability of the equipment provided.
