Spain sends warship not far from Morocco
Spain deployed the Tornado maritime action vessel to the Strait of Gibraltar and the Alboran Sea, near Moroccan waters, to carry out a surveillance and deterrence mission.
The Tornado left the naval base of Rota (Cádiz) to carry out this mission in the maritime spaces under Spanish sovereignty, and mainly in the Strait of Gibraltar and the Alboran Sea. This operation aims to guarantee safety and freedom of navigation in these strategic waters. The deployment of this ship in waters near Morocco is proof of Spain’s commitment to defending its sovereignty over these maritime spaces, it is reported Huffpost.
