Spain bans entry of Moroccan fish
The European Rapid Alert System for Food (RASFF) recently reported the refusal of entry into Spain of several shipments of fresh fish from Morocco.
The reason? The presence of Anisakis, a parasite potentially dangerous to human health. This alert was accompanied by two other notifications concerning problems with the breaking of the cold chain for sardines and shrimps also originating from Morocco.
