Spain: a map of Morocco integrating the Sahara is controversial

Spanish public television TVE is at the heart of a controversy. The channel broadcast a map of Morocco including the Sahara last weekend, which prompted the Polisario Front to request the correction of this “error”.

TVE broadcast a world map twice over the weekend showing the Sahara as part of Morocco, reports The Independent. The Polisario Front immediately took to the channel to demand that this error be corrected, recalling that Western Sahara is still considered by the UN as an occupied territory, awaiting decolonization.
