Sofiane Al Rayyan and Boufal, the unexpected divorce

Qatari club Al Rayyan has terminated the contract of Moroccan international Sofiane Boufal by “mutual agreement”. An opportunity for an Egyptian club that wants to secure the services of the 30-year-old player.

“The club and the player Sofiane Boufal have reached an agreement to terminate the contract between the two parties by mutual agreement. Thank you, Soufiane. We wish you good luck and success in the future,” Al Rayyan announced on his X account. The Moroccan striker had been recruited by the Qatari club in January 2023 from Angers SCO for a sum of 6 million euros.
