Shipping companies accused of profiting from MREs
Shipping companies operating between Spain and Morocco have unexpectedly doubled the price of ferry tickets, much to the dismay of Moroccans living abroad (MRE) who are preparing to return to their countries of residence after spending their summer holidays in Morocco.
The MREs complain about this unjustified increase in the price of boat tickets, at a time when they must return to their countries of residence, as part of the return phase of Operation Marhaba. This increase is explained by the lack of Moroccan shipping companies and the absence of state regulation, explains to the site Al3omk Ali Zobeiri, president of the Euro-Moroccan Migration Observatory.
