Scam in Marrakech: their dream vacation turns into a nightmare

While they left for Marrakech to have a good time in a riad that they rented via Booking, three students arrive there and realize that they had just been victims of a real estate rental scam.

The savings of Charlotte, Inès and Achraf went up in smoke. They were cheated by a well-planned scam. With their savings, these three students wanted to treat themselves to a short week’s vacation in Marrakech in September and booked a riad via Booking, reports The Mountain. “We booked a riad via Booking. It was very attractive and rated 9.3/10. We only had a few days, so we wanted to make sure we did it,” says Charlotte. But things don’t go as planned. The students arrive at the door of the establishment located on an abandoned street and notice that it is covered in tags. Enough to raise some concerns.
