Saupiquet: goodbye France, hello Morocco?

L’Saupiquet factory in Quimper, last fish cannery in the region, will permanently close its doors on Friday, December 20. She could find a new lease of life in Morocco.

A page is turning for this site which has marked the Breton industrial landscape for sixty years. But this closure raises concerns about the future of the brand in France. Indeed, production at the Quimper factory will be relocated to Spain and Morocco, leaving doubt about a possible total withdrawal of Saupiquet from French territory.
