Saudi Arabia expels Moroccans
Moroccans are among the thousands of illegal migrants arrested and expelled from Saudi Arabia as they attempted to cross the border into the kingdom.
A total of 21,971 violators of residence, work and border security regulations were arrested during security campaigns in the kingdom’s regions during the period from October 10 to 17. Among those arrested: 13,186 violated the residence regulations, 5,427 the border security regulations, and 3,358 the labor regulations.
1,421 individuals were arrested while trying to cross the border to enter the kingdom: 34% of them are of Yemeni nationality, 64% of Ethiopian nationality, and 2% of other nationalities including Moroccan nationality.
