Sahara: Rachida Dati applauds France’s position

France’s recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara is historic, declared Rachida Dati, the French Minister of Culture, maintaining that Morocco’s sovereignty over this territory is incontestable.

Of Moroccan origin, Rachida Dati affirmed in a post on X that France has an interest in strengthening its ties of friendship with Morocco, stressing that this official recognition by Paris of Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara will contribute to strengthening cooperation with Rabat.
