Sahara: Mohammed VI thanks Emmanuel Macron for his “frank” support

King Mohammed VI thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for his “frank support for the Moroccanness of the Sahara”.

Accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid, King Mohammed VI chaired, Friday in Rabat, the opening of the first session of the fourth legislative year of the 11th legislature, reports The Associated Press. Delivering his annual speech to elected officials, he welcomed the position of France which supports the sovereignty of Morocco over the entire territory of the Sahara and which supports the autonomy initiative within the framework of territorial integrity of Morocco, as the only basis for resolving this regional conflict.
