Ryanair leaves Spain for Morocco

The lack of incentives in Spain is pushing Ryanair to place Morocco at the heart of its expansion strategy. The Irish low-cost has just launched a new base in Tangier, its fourth in the kingdom and could launch others.

Ryanair denounces the lack of incentive policies in Spain, accusing the government, the Ministries of Transport and Consumer Affairs and Aena of wanting to “break the low-cost model” in the country. Its CEO, Eddie Wilson, made this clear in an interview with The Spanish-Invertia at the inauguration of its new base in Tangier, the fourth in Morocco. The Irish company is now banking on Morocco, which offers it investment facilities.
