Some passengers described scenes of chaos, during which punches were exchanged. The argument started when a female passenger refused to give up a seat to a male passenger, aged around twenty. He wanted to change seats to sit with his family. “As soon as the seatbelt light went off, the situation exploded,” a passenger told the press. “It started with an argument, but then it escalated. People were screaming, children were crying, it was chaos.” “Videos posted on social media showed passengers pushing each other down the aisle as crew members struggled to maintain order.
