A plane from the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) flying from Casablanca to Monrovia, the capital of Liberia, veered off the runway during its landing phase.

More fear than harm. A Boeing 737-800 of the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) that left Casablanca for Liberia, went off the runway on Saturday, August 17, at 06:15 local time (05:15 GMT), while landing on runway 04 of Monrovia-Roberts airport. The plane, “registered CN-RGW, swerved as it touched the tarmac, deviating from its trajectory to the left, to end up beyond the edge of the runway, before returning to the central axis”, reports The360adding that the aircraft then left the runway and was towed to the parking area. There were no injuries to the passengers or major damage to the aircraft. However, the Boeing 737-800 did not operate the return flight.
