Some Algerian media and Internet users have spread false information about the traditional Moroccan outfits worn by Algerian footballer Riyad Mahrez and British model Taylor Ward on the occasion of their wedding, attributing them to Algeria.

Algerian media reported that Taylor Ward was dressed in Algerian karakou and kaftan for the occasion, adding that the Al Ahli player and his wife paid a beautiful tribute to Algerian culture by wearing traditional Algerian outfits at their wedding celebrated on July 2 in Italy. However, other sources claim, with supporting evidence, that the two lovebirds wore Moroccan outfits.
