Risk of cancellation of flights between Morocco

Many flights between Morocco and Canada are at risk of being cancelled due to an imminent strike by Air Canada pilots.

At the root of this is a standoff between Air Canada pilots and the company’s management. Its 5,200 pilots are demanding wage increases, in the context of inflation and soaring prices in the country, while the company’s management is still unable to meet their demands. “Air Canada believes there is still time to reach an agreement with its group of pilots, if ALPA moderates its wage demands, which are well above the average wage increase in Canada,” said Michael Rousseau, the company’s president and CEO, who is finalizing “the final details of the emergency plans to suspend most of its operations.”
